“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller
We are nearing the end of our Quarter 3 units, and I would like to thank everyone for all of their hard work and dedication with student learning in all of our various learning models. .
The theme for Quarter 4 will focus on Partnerships and will center around SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) as well as SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions). We are currently in the process of finalizing the enduring understandings and essential questions as well as creating a new curriculum mapping template that will enable us to see how interdisciplinary connections can be made.
Here are some helpful and/or interesting articles, resources, and videos:
- Check out this template to recreate a historic Zoom meeting. Pretty cool idea!
- Here’s a podcast from Brene Brown with Dr. Angus Fletcher on Life-Changing Inventions in Literature. You’ll need your VPN on for this one.
- Anne Fein discussion How to Foster Self-Motivation in High School
- Steve Ventura provides some tips for clear learning intentions and success criteria for students.
- Joan Brodsky Schur uses the QFT to get students to ask better questions.
- Penny Kittle and Kelly Gallagher chat again one year after schools across the world went to virtual learning.
